Background

Al Maya Group was established in the year 1982 by a pioneering and inspiring businessman – Mr. L.K Pagarani. The group is a Dubai based conglomerate that has become a force to reckon with within the industry. Today the group employs more than 5,000 employees from 30 different countries for its multiple business verticals; the FMCG Distribution of Food and Non-Food products, Processing plants in India and other countries around the world, over 90 retail stores in the UAE & GCC, including Supermarkets, Borders and Paperchase.

With expansion and growth as a trigger, Al Maya Group signed a lease with National Industries Park in 2014 to build a custom facility and a distribution hub. Headquartered in the UAE, the Al Maya Group has strengthened its regional presence across Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar over the past two decades. The new distribution hub aimed to further strengthen the ability to have faster connectivity and better channels and reach.

The mission of Al Maya Group, as described by them, is “Our deepest purpose as an organization is to improve business across the region with a goal to provide the highest level of services by providing the broadest selection of products and assuring a value that improves the lifestyle of the consumer.”

With this mission at the core and values that guide how they work and operate, Al Maya Group has invested in the facility, which was operational in 2019. As a food distribution company, the ideal customer base for them are those involved in the retail distribution of food items, supermarkets, hypermarkets, grocery stores, local baqala’s and companies in the HORECA industry. With it’s new state-of-art distribution and logistics hub, Al Maya Group is able to seamlessly connection with their customers and partners.

Today, Al Maya Group owns 2 million sq.feet in warehouse space. They have an average of 75,000 deliveries per month and operate a distribution network across the UAE and GCC.
